From 23 March to 20 June 2011, the Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais, Paris’s prestigious exhibition space, is hosting Odilon Redon, Prince of Dreams, the first Paris retrospective of the great Symbolist painter’s work since 1956. A one-hour guided tour produced by Espro Acoustiguide in collaboration with Réunion des Musées Nationaux, it includes pictures of the works and audio commentaries enabling a richer understanding of the stylistic evolution of Odilon Redon’s work. It will lead you chronologically and thematically through the “Noirs”, lithographs and charcoals of Redon’s dark period, until the explosion of colour in his late pastels.
